Top Stories,

' 112 ' Will Be India's National Emergency number soon !

It is well known to everybody that present existing emergency numbers like 100 (for police), 101 (fire), 102 (ambulance) and 108 (disaster management) are in use.

Very soon a gradual change is expected in this line as a special national emergency number  '112 ' is going to be made official.

This emergency number is going to be used in all across India for all emergency services.

'112' is to be made the official emergency number soon similar to the '911' in the US and '999' in the UK .

For its implementation, it would require the active participation of all the states to make it a success.

Inter-ministerial Telecom Commission has accepted suggestions from Telecom Regulatory Authority Of India (TRAI) and given a go-ahead to the measure.

112 number would be used for availing Police, Ambulance and Fire department services.
