TS CM KCR's expensive Chandi Yagam criticised
Controversy has surfaced over Telangana CM KCR holding exuberant ritual at his Erravalli farmhouse residence in Medak district.
Telangana CM KCR has been criticised from various sections of people, who alleged that state has been declared drought hit and the farmers have been committing suicide as their crops failed and looking out for government help, at this juncture Telangana CM KCR reportedly spending Rs 7 crore towards Ayutha Chandi Yagam is condemned by the opposition parties.
On the other hand, KCR reportedly said that not a penny has been taken from the state exchequer.
The Congress has criticised Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for the huge expenditure for performing `Chandiyagam,' even as hundreds of farmers were committing suicide in the State.
Congress in-charge for AP and Telangana Digvijay Singh has admitted that KCR is bearing the expenditure from his personal funds.
If so, Digvijay asked KCR to clarify to the people of the State what the expenditure was, the source of funds, how he acquired those funds and so on.
At the same time, Digvijay opined that it was not fair to misuse public funds.
