Former BJP minister passes away
BJP MLA and former minister Gurupadappa Nagamarapalli (74) has passed away at a private hospital in Bengaluru. He died due to heart attack on Tuesday.
He is survived by three sons and two daughters.
Speaker Kagodu Thimmappa has paid his rich tributes and lauded his contribution to the co-operative sector.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said Nagamarapalli's death is a great loss to Karnataka politics.
Jagadish Shettar ,Leader of Opposition BJP said that his death is a great loss to to the party (BJP).
As far as his political profile is concerned, Nagamarapalli, a six time member of Assembly represented Bidar in north Karnataka.
The BJP leader was a Minister in the cabinet of S R Bommai, J H Patel and Dharm Singh.
It is to be mentioned here that Nagamarapalli was a recipient of honorary doctorate from Gulbarga University.
