Hyderabad Metro Rail conducts trial run

IT and Panchayati Raj minister KTR, Home Minister Nayini Narasimha Reddy, the Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana Mohammad Mahmood Ali and others have boarded the Metro train for the first time in Hyderabad.
They have shared their experiences while speaking to media.
Minister KTR said that it was a very pleasant journey.
Normally, for reaching Uppal from Mettuguda, it takes around 25 minutes but Metro train covered the journey in just 7 minutes without any halts , it is amazing, minister KTR said.
Further, the minister said the first segment of the Metro will be inaugurated for public use in the first half of 2016
It is to be mentioned here that the distance between Mettuguda and Uppal is seven kilometre .The trial run was successfully conducted on the Corridor III of the elevated train service.
