Actress Namitha joins AIADMK

Tamil actress Namitha has developed her inclination towards the Politics.

The actress has joined the AIADMK officially in the presence Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa in Trichy on Saturday.

As the Assembly election is on the card, the actress is likely to be the star campaigner for AIADMK in the ensuing elections as Khushboo is campaigning for Congress and Vijayakanth for MDMK.

It is well known that actress Namitha has more fan following after Khushboo in Tamil Nadu.

This is going to make the difference as far as their popularities are concerned. The actress could provide a big boost for AIADMK's campaign.

It is yet to be known, whether Namitha will contest in polls or restricts herself only for campaigning.

On Friday, there were reports that the CM had written to the actress with regard to joining the party.

It is to be mentioned here that the actress made her debut in the Telugu films with the film 'Sontham' and in Tamil films with 'Engal Anna'.
