Children of 5-12 years of age to pay full train fare from April 2016

The railway fare rule is very soon likely to change .

According to a statement issued by railways, the children of the age group of 5 to 12 years of age will be charged full fare instead of half.

Indian Railways is likely to revise its rule very soon and most possibly,it will be effective from April 21, 2016.

 Child fare of unreserved tickets meant for children of 5-12 years shall continue to be half of the adult fare.

Very soon , the Railways will make necessary changes in the reservation form so that the passenger can opt for the same as per the requirement and indicate their option for requirement of full berth/seat for child or not.

 Under five years of age, Children will continue to enjoy free journey (without berth) in all the trains.
