Tamil actor Selvakumar passes away
Tamil film industry witnessed a tragic incident as the character artist R Selvakumar passed away in a road accident at T Nagar in Chennai on Thursday night.
The actor was 59. He is survived by his wife K Geetha and two daughters.
Selvakumar, who was also a TV serial actor met the accident, while he was coming back to his house along with his friend, Kovai Senthil, who was riding pillion on the two-wheeler.
It is said that wire of his two-wheeler got entangled in the front wheel, which made the bike to lose its balance and the bike fell on the road.
Due to this, the actor suffered head injury and reportedly died on the spot.
He was not wearing a helmet at that time.
The pillion rider sustained little injury and he was shifted to a hospital.
The actor, a resident of T Nagar, apart from enacting roles in TV serials, he acted in more than 300 films.
