Malayalam Star Jishnu Raghavan dies at 35

Welknown Malayalam film star, Jishnu Raghavan, died young at 35 on Friday, plunging the Kerala cinema in deep gloom.  He was suffering from cancer. He died while undergoing treatment at Amrita Hospital in Kochi.

The actor was battling throat and lung cancer for quite some time and was undergoing treatment at the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS).

It is said that Jishnu has been suffering the disorder for the last 2 years.

Then he was stated to have been cured. But last year the cancer revived taking his life.

He was the son of prominent actor Raghavan.

Jishnu started his career as a child star in `Killipattu' in 1987. After his engineering education, he entered films. The first film, `Nammal', was a grand success.

In the film 'Nammal', for his performance in the film, Mathrubhumi Award and Kerala Film Critics Award for the best male debut has been conferred on him.

It is to be mentioned here that the actor played major roles in  movies like 'Parayam', 'Choonda', 'Freedom',  'Pauran' ,supporting part in 'Nerariyan CBI' and 'Chakkara Muthu.'
