Ramoji Rao does not deserve Padma Bhushan - Undavalli

Rajahmundry former Congress MP Undavalli Aruna Kumar made sensational comments against Eenadu Group of companies Chairman Ramoji Rao on Thursday.

Addressing in front of the Eenadu-Margadarsi office at Somajiguda in Hyderabad, Undavalli alleged that Ramoji Rao is under scanner related with many cases, which are still pending in the court.

Undavalli reiterated the charge that Ramoji Rao was not yet cleared of the cases filed by him.

The cases were still in the stage of hearing.

He said that Ramoji Rao does not deserve Padma Vibhushan .

He questioned the state government for recommending his name to centre for Padma Vibhushan.

Further, he said that he will keep the matter before PM and President.

He demanded that the national recognition for Ramoji Rao should be withdrawn.

The Congress leader, who was scarce in the media for long, claimed that it was his complaint to Finance Minister Arun Jaitley that had resulted in the order of inquiry against Ramoji Rao.

Even before the inquiry concluded, Ramoji Rao was sort of given clean chit with the Padmavibhushan award.

He released the latter he had written to Arun Jailtley in this regard at the Somajiguda Press Club, which is right opposite the Eenadu office.

Undavalli was often in the media when the Congress was in power and the combined AP was being split.

After the Grand Old Party bit the dust both in AP and Telangana following the split, its leaders became scarce in the media.

The fact that it took so many days for Undavalli to reiterate Margadarshi issue said it all.
