Actor Simbu appears before police in beep song case
The controversial beep song that went viral three months back is still haunting Tamil film actor Silambarasan, popularly known as Simbu.
On legal aspect, the actor on Monday appeared before Kattur police station in Coimbatore with his lawyer and father, producer T Rajendar and met the Assistant Commissioner.
Speaking on the occasion, Simbu said to the reporters that he has been extending co-operation to police and said that he answered the questions put to him.
The actor defended himself saying that he is innocent and keeps the matter in God's hand.
It is to be mentioned here that activists of AIDWA in December last filed a case against him alleging that the song sung by him was vulgar and portrayed women in poor light.
Music director Anirudh Ravichandran was also booked for composing music for the song.
