Mangalampalli Balamuralikrishna honoured with Gana Virat title
Indian Carnatic vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, composer , actor and classic singer Padmashree Mangalampalli Balamuralikrishna was felicitated in a grand manner and honoured with the title of Gana Virat.
He was honoured at a function organised by Diamonds Sahay Britts, at Anakapalli in Visakhapatnam.
On this occasion Balamurali mesmerised the audience with some of his favourite ragas, in a concert.
Andhra Pradesh Minister Ganta Srinivas, MLA Peela Govind and former minister Dadi were present at the event.
Balamuralikrishna is also known for popularising the compositions of Sri Bhadrachala Ramadasu and Sri Annamacharya.
Balamuralikrishna has composed over 400 compositions in various languages like Telugu, Sanskrit, Kannada and Tamil.
He has acted in devotional film Bhakta Prahlada (1967) under AVM Productions as Narada, and also acted in various films.
