Sachin Tendulkar keen to help farmers
The state of Maharashtra is continuously facing the drought like situation for three years.
It has affected the farmers most and there were reports of suicidal death as the farmers are unable to meet their demands.
Sachin Tendulkar, who is well known for his services towards underprivileged children through Apnalaya, a Mumbai-based NGO, has been expressing his keenness to help the drought-affected farmers of Marathwada region in Maharashtra.
It is learnt that Narayan Kanhan, Sachin Tendulkar's personal assistant, has personally visited the drought hit areas and met with the officials to make an estimate and also collected the feedback interacting with various section of people.
Sachi is expected to help these farmers by providing all the necessary agricultural equipments that are needed for irrigation and other farming practices.
Veteran Bollywood actors Nana Patekar and Akshay kumar have already been associated with development activities and helping the needy farmers through their own funds.
