YS Jagan supports Ramavarppadu residents opposing ring roads
The leader of opposition of AP assembly and YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has extended his support to the people of Ramvarapadu in Vijayawada towards their agitation against the state government, which is reportedly planning to seize lands as part of flyover construction.
YSRCP chief has assured them to extend his help and has alleged that the State government is modifying the alignments in capital Amaravati to suit the conveniences of leaders close to the top leadership in the State.
He has made it clear that he may even launch a strike or approach Court to seek justice.
YS Jagan after coming to know the pathetic stories of the people of Ramvarapadu has warned that his party would not keep quiet against the illegal measures of state government.
He has alleged that most lands, including those giving three crops a year around Amaravati, have been usurped by the government and further alleged that these were being used for the benefit of those in power.
YS Jagan observed that that there was a hotel belonging to a TDP leader which should be demolished for the Inner Ring Road.
He alleged that instead of taking action against that structure, re-alignment affecting the houses of poor people is objectionable.
He questioned the propriety of house demolition without compensation being paid to the affected people.
