Modi led Govt offers free visas for $ 2b investment


The Narendra Modi government, as a part of  strengthen 'Make-in-India' bid,  is throwing open the doors to investors who can bring in $2 billion, promising residency visas and work visas at cheaper rates for their overseas employees as also other amenities.

The provisions in regard to real estate sector have been finalised.

It is reported that  it will be presented to the counrtry after the budget session in March 2nd week.

The concept of 'Make-in-India' is being geared to attract foreign investment for taking the country on the path of rapid development.

The Finance Ministry porposals in this regard are being vetted by the ministries concerned.

Once finalised, it would be the first Residency Permit policy in the country.

Already Residency Permits are in use in the US, Canada,  and Singapore.

Work visa rules in the country are being simplified.

The provisions have been drawn up after consultations with global investors and employees coming from other countries.
