Baahubali nominated for Saturn Awards
The Saturn Awards are presented annually to films and television series by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films.
In its 42nd Saturn Awards events, the highest domestic grosser in the history of Indian Cinema i.e "Baahubali: The Beginning" has been nominated under five categories.
These categories are Best Film Music (MM Keeravani),Best Fantasy Film, Best Film Production Design (Sabu Cyril), Best Supporting Actress (Tamannaah Bhatia) and Best Film Costume Design (Rama Rajamouli and Prashanti Tipirneni).
'Jurassic World', 'Mad Max: Fury Road', 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' and 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' are other films that have been nominated for Saturn Awards.
"Baahubali: The Beginning", was directed by the S.S.Rajamouli and produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni of Arka Mediaworks.
The Saturn awards ceremony will take place in June in Burbank.
It is to be mentioned here that the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films, was founded in the year 1972 by historian Dr. Donald A. Reed.
The main aim of the Academy is to recognise multi genre entertainment.
The Saturn Awards Organisation was established in the year 1973.
