Amitabh Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra chosen new ambassadors of Incredible India

The government of India has appointed Bollywood Mega Star Amitabh Bachchan and popular actress Priyanka Chopra as the brand ambassadors of Incredible India.

Amitabh Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra will now be replacing Aamir Khan as the new ambassadors of the Incredible India campaign.

After the contract of actor Aamir Khan with Incredible India expired, the changes took place .

Earlier to this, union tourism ministry has shortlisted many multi-disciplinary icons, including famous sports personalities for the face of the 'Incredible India' .

Once the name of actor Akshay Kumar has also surfaced.The actor has reportedly expressed his interest if he is honoured with that.

It has been reported that Amitabh Bachchan emerged as one of the top choices as he has endorsed the polio eradication campaign, and Gujarat tourism in the past.

The government is directly appointing the brand ambassadors for the first time, it is learnt.

It is said that  both the actors will be appointed for 3 years and will not charge a single penny for the endorsement.

The official announcement is likely to be made after January 26.

 Earlier Aamir Khan, said he respects the government's decision to "discontinue" his services.
