Congress and TDP flay KTR for casual remarks
Telugu Desam Party and Congress leaders have taken serious objection to Telangana IT Minister K. Taraka Ramarao's remarks on renaming his party and his contesting from Bhimavaram in Coastal Andhra.
The young minister admitted that he had made the remarks but he made them for some fun. He said his main idea was that the Telugu people should live happily. The opposition parties should not create a controversy out of it.
At the same time, he pointed out that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao was held in esteem in Coastal Andhra.
Speaking to a Telugu channel, he pooh-poohed that there were any differences between him and his cousin and Minister T. Harish Rao. Both of them were growing in politics at their own pace. Both were strong enough to achieve the tasks set for them by the Chief Minister.
As for the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Elections, for which he was spearheading his party's campaign, KTR said that his party would be releasing its manifesto within a week. They would decide the mayoral candidate after the poll.
Again perhaps he said casually as if his party will decide the mayoral candidate. The TRS could if the party wins the 100 seats it proposes to win.
