BCCI bans Ajit Chandila for life, suspends Hiken Shah for 5 years

BCCI's disciplinary committee has taken a big decision related with  the 2013 edition of the Indian Premier League spot fixing.

The Disciplinary Committee of BCCI, headed by president Shashank Manohar and also comprising Jyotiraditya Scindia and Niranjan Shah, took the sensational decision after conducting an important meeting in Mumbai.

It has slapped with a life ban on 32-year-old Haryana off-spinner Ajit Chandila from playing or representing cricket in any form or to be associated in any way with the activities of the Board or its Affiliates.

Mumbai batsman Hiken Shah was suspended for five-year for making a corrupt approach to a fellow player for his involvement in the 2013 IPL spot-fixing scandal.

It is to be mentioned here that Chandila was arrested by the police along with his Rajasthan Royals teammates Shantakumaran Sreesanth and Ankit Chavan in 2013 IPL Spot fixing case, both of whom were banned for life by the BCCI.
