Sania Mirza-Martina Hingis win 29th consecutive match,create world record
The Indo-Swiss pair Sania Mirza & Martina Hingis have created a World record beating 22 years record.
They won their 29th consecutive match in the semi-final against Romanian Raluca Olaru and Yaroslava Shvedova of Kazakhstanas with scores of 4-6, 6-3, 10-8 in the women's doubles final of the WTA Sydney International
They have now surpassed the pair of Puerto Rican Gigi Fernandez and Belarus' Natasha Zvereva, who won 28 matches on the trot during their successful pairing back in 1994.
In this way, the top seed pair set a record for most consecutive wins in women's doubles in Sydney on Thursday.
A win in the final will be their 11th WTA title together
It is to be mentioned here that they claimed nine titles last year en route to being the top ranked women's doubles team, the highlight being wins at Wimbledon and US Open.
