BSNL sends notice to late Kalam for phone bill due, comes under criticism
BSNL Thiruvananthapuram Circle has insulted late President Abdul Kalam by sending a revenue recovery notice to his residence for not clearing an outstanding phone bill amount of Rs 1029.

The BSNL came under severe criticism for sending notice after four months of Kalam demise.
Interestingly, the pending bill was supposed to be cleared by the Kerala government as it invited Kalam for two days in 2010.
Later, BSNL clarified that the notice was sent to Raj Bhavan and not to Kalam.
