Google new campus coming up in Hyderabad: CEO Sundar Pichay



Google CEO Sundar Pichai, eight Google vice-presidents, including those for Search, YouTube, Maps, and Android among others attended a high-profile Google event in Delhi on Wednesday.

Sundar Pichai said that Google India is committed to help India come online.


He has announced a number of measures that would help Indian web users in using internet more effectively and effortlessly.

He said that Google is keen to initiate real time cricket scores and videos by early next year, an expansive new campus in Hyderabad and creating opportunities for recruitment in India .


He said that within a year 100 railway stations will be getting the wi-fi facilities in partnership with Railtel.

The 43-year-old alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, finance minister Arun Jaitley and telecommunications minister Ravi Shankar Prasad and will interact with students at the Sri Ram College of Commerce.

Last year, Pichai visited India to launch Android One, a program in which the world's largest search engine partnered with Indian handset makers Spice, Micromax and Karbonn (and later Lava)

It is to be mentioned here that tech giant is the latest tech leader to visit India after Alibaba's chairperson Jack Ma, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella.
