Bollywood veteran attend Sadhana's funeral



At the funeral ceremony of Bollywood's veteran actress Sadhana, the veterans of Bollywood paid their last respects and offered their condolences and prayers.

 Her co-actors and friends namely Helen, Salim Khan, Aasha Parekh, Waheeda Rehman among others paid a visit at her home.

It is to be mentioned here that Bollywood icon Sadhana has breathed her last on Decemeber 25th at the age of 74 due to long time illness.

Saroj Khan,Tabassum  and Anu Kapoor were also present during her last rights.

'History will remember her as the finest actor and she was a good dancer',Sanjay Khan said.

Sadhana featured many popular Hindi films including Asli-Naqli, Ek Musafir Ek Hasina, Mere Mehboob,  Mera Saaya, Intaquam, Ek Phool Do Mali, and Geeta Mera Naam to name a few.

Born in a Sindhi family in Karachi, British India, Shivdasani was named after her father's favorite actress-dancer Sadhana Bose.

 Her father was the brother of actor Hari Shivdasani, father of actress Babita.

Sadhana married her Love in Simla director Ram Krishna Nayyar on 7 March 1966.

They were married for nearly thirty years, until his death in 1995 from asthma.

The couple had no children.

Veteran yesteryear actress featured in many successful Hindi films such as Mere Mehboob, Parakh, Asli-Naqli, Ek Musafir Ek Hasina,  Mera Saaya, Intaquam, Geeta Mera Naam and Ek Phool Do Mali to name a few.

The actress was nominated for the Filmfare Award in Best Actress category for her roles in Woh Kaun Thi ? and Waqt.

She was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by the IIFA in 2002 for her contribution towards the film industry.

Sadhana made the 'fringe cut' a rage during her time, which even today is popularly known as the 'Sadhana cut'.
