Ranji Trophy : Wasim Jaffer becomes 1st Batsman to cross 10,000 run mark
Wasim Jaffer , playing for Vidarbha as opener, the batsman on Sunday made the news as he became the first cricketer in Ranji Trophy history to make 10,000 runs.
He achieved the said feat on day two of their Group A match against Bengal, being played at the Jadavpur University second campus ground in Salt Lake in Kolkata.
It is to be mentioned here that, Wasim Jaffer, aged 37 year has reached the milestone in his 126th match.
The star batsman, who was also the former Mumbai opener is now the leading run-getter in Ranji, Duleep and Irani Trophy having made 10,002, 2545 and 1008 runs.
