5 farmer suicides in KCR's district, Telangana yet to declare drought
It has been reported that a single village in Telangana chief minister,KCR's home district Medak, has witnessed suicidal death of 34 farmers, five of them after the new state of Telangana was born.
The opposition parties alleged that CM KCR is busy in tour and drawing the attention of Industrialists for their investments rather than concentrating on the plight of farmers .
They further alleged that the chief minister is reluctant to declare a drought in the state as rain is recorded less than 50 %. Telangana MP K Kavitha, when contacted , she admitted that the farmers have been facing crisis.
She has faulted the earlier government over the said issue.
The Telangana BJP cadre have brought the families of the 34 farmers to Hyderabad to showcase the crisis to KCR.
It is to be mentioned here that 34 families have been struggling with their lives in Yelkal village of Medak district.
