Andhra Pradesh Assembly passes resolution on special status
After a long heated exchange of words between the ruling (TDP) and opposition party(YSRCP), Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu introduced a resolution in State Asssembly demanding Special Category Status.
The said resolution was unanimously adopted on Tuesday and it requested the Government of India to accord Special Category status to the Andhra Pradesh state and implement all the provisions contained in the A.P. Reorganisation Act, 2014.
AP CM Chandrababu read out contents of resolution and Speaker completed the remaining formalities.
