Vijayawada metro rail station designs ready

Vijayawada, Aug 09: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has finalised the designs of the main metro rail station in the city. The main station would be constructed near  Pandit Nehru Bus Station (PNBS).

In the proposed G+4 building for station, first floor would be used for elevated corridor and track would pass through it.

 The station would be constructed in second floor and third and fourth floors would  be used for administrative purposes.

A sky walk is also planned from PNBS to the station.

The first phase of the Vijayawada Metro Rail project costs Rs 6, 823 crore. The project has two corridors and they cover a distance of 38 km.
