Agrigold scam: company told to sell its properties to pay depositors
Hyderabad, August 17: The Agrigold victims got relief with High Court's verdict given on Monday.
The court directed the Agrigold company owners to sell its properties to pay back the dues to the depositors. The court told them to file affidavit within one week. Then only the court will give permission to sell its properties.
About 32 lakh people have deposited in the Agrigold but were deceived by the company which has not given them plot or deposit amount. Out of the 32 lakh, 19 lakh belong to Andhra Pradesh.
The Agrigold company has to pay Rs 6,800 crore to its depositors. As on today, the company has Rs 7,000 crore worth property, according to sources.
