Revanth Reddy gets bail in cash for vote scam

Hyderabad, June 30: The Hyderabad High Court on Tuesday granted conditional bail to the TDP MLA Revanth Reddy, key accused, in cash-for-vote case.

Along with Revanth Reddy, the High Court also granted bail to other accused R Uday Simha and Harry Sebastian in the case.

The High Court gave bail to Revanth and other accused on a personal bond of Rs 5 lakh with two sureties.

The High Court did not agree with the arguments of Advocate General K Ramakrishna Reddy that accused might tamper evidence if bail is granted.

According to Revanth’s counsel, the HC Judge ordered Revanth Reddy not to move out of the Kodangal Assembly constituency during bail period.

Also, the Judge instructed Revanth to appear before the ACB whenever officials ask him to attend the probe.

Meanwhile, the TDP cadres in Telangana State expressed happiness over the HC granting bail to Revanth.

On the other hand, Telangana Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials are all set to approach the Supreme Court over the bail granted to Telangana TDP MLA Revanth Reddy by Hyderabad High Court on Tuesday.

It has been reported that ACB wanted to know the name of 'Boss' whose referral has surfaced during sting operation of the cash for vote scam issue.

It has been also reported that within one or two days from now, Telangana ACB will file a petition in the apex court against the bail orders of Revanth Reddy.
