Case against Sonia in US hearing on August 18
New York, June 12: The oral arguments in the case filed in US of America against Congress president Sonia Gandhi will come up for hearing on August 18.
Accusing Sonia Gandhi of shielding and protecting the Congress leaders who provoked Sikh massacre in 1984, Sikh for Justice (SFJ) filed a petition in the US court in 2013.
The first case filed by SFJ against Sonia Gandhi in June, 2014 was dismissed by a federal judge. The judge said Sonia Gandhi was not responsible for these allegations under 'Torture Victims Protection Act'.
But the SFJ again approached the appellate court stating that protecting the people who committed crime is also an offense.
