No Special Status For Andhra Pradesh : Arun Jaitley
Union Minister Arun Jaitley has made the sensational comments over the special status issue of Andhra Pradesh.
Addressing to media, the union minister said that contradiction has arisen over the promise given to AP regarding special status.
He said that 14th Finance Commission has insisted to grant the revenue loss to AP. The Finance Commission has made it clear that no state will get special status.
Further the minister said that as part of alternative measures, the state of Andhra Pradesh will get more than its due.
Previously Cine star and rebel BJP leader Sivaji had launched a 48-hour hunger strike near the Guntur district collectorate seeking grant of special status to Andhra Pradesh.But that too has not worked out.
