PM Modi meets UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon

As part of the last leg of three-nation tour, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived at Seoul on Monday. He has held a meeting with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon over the issues like security and cooperation.

After the meeting PM Narendra Modi has tweeted which reads thus - 'Discussed key global issues during the wonderful meeting with UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon'.

On the other hand ,external affairs ministry Secretary (East) named Anil Wadhwa has also tweeted, which reads thus - 'We talked about maritime security & cooperation in maritime security'.

It is to be mentioned that Ban Ki moon is a South Korean national who is set to retire in 2016 after two terms.

Earlier on the day, PM Narendra Modi has held talks with President Park Geun-hye in Seoul. The two countries have decided to elevate their ties to a special strategic partnership.

Both the countries have agreed to increase their defence and security cooperation and also inked seven agreements, including on avoidance of double taxation and for cooperation between their National Security Councils.
