Rahul Gandhi calls CM KCR as Mini Modi  during Telangana visit

AICC Vice President Rahul Gandhi has visited Nirmal in Adilabad district of Telangana on Thursday.


Rahul Gandhi after landing at Nanded in Maharashtra at night has launched his padayatra on Friday morning from Koratikal village  which is located at four km from Nirmal.

His visit has been aimed to make padyatra to console families of farmers who have committed suicide.

Rahul Gandhi has visited the house of farmer Velma Rajeshwar in Koratikal, who has committed suicide on May 2 due to  huge crop failures. He met the wife and children of the farmer and consoled them.

He met families of two farmers who committed suicide in Laxmanchanda village.He also consoled the widow and children of Bandla Linganna, who has committed suicide.

Altogether, he consoled five families including the family of a person who returned from Gulf after being cheated by a travel agent.For each families, he has provided financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh each.

Earlier, Telangana state unit Congress president Uttam Kumar Reddy said that 700 farmers have committed suicide in the state during 11 months.

In the padayatra, Uttam Kumar Reddy has helped Rahul Gandhi in understanding the Telugu language spoken by the farmers.

In the padyatra, along with Rahul Gandhi, party activists across the state, top Telangana Congress leaders including Congress general secretary Digvijaya Singh have participated.

 It has been reported that at least 200 workers from each of 119 assembly constituencies have participated in the walkathon.

Party activists in large number have accompanied him holding party flags and raising slogans. Police personnel and the Special Protection Group (SPG) had a tough time in controlling the crowd as Rahul Gandhi freely mingled with every one who have come on his way.

His walkathon has been named as 'Kisan Sandesh Yatra', which has filled josh among the party cadre.

Addressing a public meeting at the last point of the padyatra at Wadial village, Rahul Gandhi has come down heavily on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Telangana chief minister KCR saying that both have totally ignored the concerns of the farmers.

Rahul Gandhi has called KCR as Mini Modi. He said both have failed to generate employment to the youths and both have failed to fulfill the promises that were made during election time.

He has trained gun at PM Modi saying that he wears a Rs.10 lakh suit.He charged his government saying that it is a government of suit and boot.

Further, he said that he is not against Modi's concept of development and coming up of more industries . He said that there should be partnership between industries, farmers and labourers.

He has alleged that the government is trying to make money cheating the farmers by means of land acquisition bill. He has made it clear that land values will always increase in coming years.

 The Congress Vice Chief has said that "acche din" have come for Narendra Modi and few businessmen who are close to him.

This is Rahul Gandhi's first visit to the state of Telangana after it has been carved as a separate state.
