Wi-Fi service at Vijayawada, Kachiguda, Raipur rail stations


Indian Railways under 'Digital India initiative' is expanding its base to attract more passengers .

The Indian Railways will launch free Wi-Fi service at Andhra Pradesh's Vijayawada, Hyderabad's Kachiguda and Chhattisgarh's Raipur stations on Thursday as part of expanding the high speed Internet network facility.

Railway passengers can use free Wi-Fi services at the respective railway stations, who have a smart phone.

Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu will launch the facility by means of remote video link from Rail Bhawan in New Delhi.

Six months before and last month, Wi-Fi service were launched at the Secunderabad and Bhubaneswar stations.


It is learnt that the Railways is committed to make arrangements for wi-fi services to the the passengers at 100 busiest stations by the end of this year.
