Bihar becomes dry state as it imposed ban on liquor
In a noble approach, Bihar government has announced a total ban on all kinds of liquor in the state.
The said initiative has been taken after Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announced the same fulfilling his election promise.
The chief minister, while talking to newsmen said that liquor will not be sold or made available in any bar, pub or hotel from now onwards except Defence canteen.
The chief minister announced that foreign made Indian liquor has been banned with immediate affect along with country-made liquor, that was already prohibited in rural areas across the state.
With this announcement and order, Bihar has become a complete dry state today and became the fourth state in the list after Gujarat, Nagaland and Mizoram.
It is to be mentioned here that the state assembly has passed a law banning sale of country-made liquor in the last week.
