It is a real shock to Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in Telangana as Quthbullapur MLA K.P. Vivekanand quit his party and sent resignation letter to party office at NTR trust bhavan by means of Fax.
The TDP legislator joined the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) after meeting Telangana Chief Minister and TRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao(KCR) at camp office on Tuesday.
K.P. Vivekanand, after wearing TRS Khanduva(a cloth worn around neck) alleged that as TDP President and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has been shifting base to Vijayawada, very often, there developed leadership vacuum for TDP in Telangana
The said development is a real blow to TDP as it is preparing for by-election to the state assembly from the Naraynkhed constituency on February 13.
It is to be mentioned here that TDP faced utter defeat in the recent elections to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) as it bagged only one seat, where as its alliance partner Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) grabbed four seats in 150-member GHMC.
