TDP to shift party headquarters from Hyderabad to Vijayawada

The newly formed Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu is reportedly keen to shift his base from Hyderabad to Vijayawada.

As the new capital is being built in Amaravati , there have been demands from various quarters that the state government shift it base to Vijayawada at the earliest.

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu gave directions to TDP National General Secretary Nara Lokesh and AP TDP President Kala Venkata Rao to scout for suitable building for party headquarters in Vijayawada.

While shifting of the entire administration may not be possible in the near future, Andhra Pradesh chief minister seems to have decided to shift his camp office to make a start

In a recent party meeting, it was decided to hold meetings with Telangana TDP leaders in Vijayawada only.

At present, the party office is located in a rented premises.

It is to be mentioned here that Andhra Pradesh was bifurcated on June 2 last year to carve out Telangana state.

 Hyderabad was made officially as the common capital of the two states for a period not exceeding 10 years.
