YS Jagan  reportedly alert on defection issue

YSR Congress party chief and the leader of opposition of AP Assembly YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has reportedly become alerted with the rumours that ruling TDP will attract his party MLAs by    'Operation Aakarsh'

With the ruling Telugu Desam Party floating rumours claiming over 30 YCP MLAs were going to join their party, the party chief, YS Jaganmohan Reddy, raised the danger level on Friday.

Jagan had told his party MLAs in Guntur and Prakasam districts to meet him in Hyderabad on Friday evening in the wake of `mind game' being played by the TDP. Yesterday he had called party MLAs belonging to his native Cuddapah district.

The Cuddapah MLAs confirmed party fears that the TDP was encouraging defections. But they told their party chief that they would not leave the party.

In the evening, Jagan was expected to discuss with his party MLAs their problems, the kind of inducements or threats coming from the ruling party and so on.

Earlier, YCP leaders had boasted that with the defection of 21 TDP MLAs they could bring down the government.  They were risking losing over 30 MLAs to the TDP now.
