TRS wins Narayankhed byelection with huge majority

Ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) is on a winning streak in the elections.

Mahareddy Bhupal Reddy, TRS candidate won with a resounding majority in Narayankhed Assembly by-poll.

 The TRS candidate defeated Congress by a margin of 53,625 votes.

Congress candidate Sanjeeva Reddy scrapped through to hold second place and kept his deposit, while TDP trailed last and lost its deposit.

Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy, speaking on the occasion, said that Narayankhed is one of most underdeveloped constituency and the people voted for TRS because of the faith they had in KCR.


TRS candidate Bhupal Reddy after winning the Narayankhed election said that it is due to minister Harish Rao's hard work only, the win was possible.

He also heaped praise on Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy taking all the pains for poll campaign.

 Bhupal Reddy thanked Telangana CM KCR for giving him the opportunity to stand for the election.

He said that this win is a gift to KCR on his birthday.

Telangana Minister for Panchayatraj, Rural Development, Rural Water Supply, Municipal Administration, Urban Development & Information Technology , KTR has congratulated State Irrigation Minister Harish Rao for Narayankhed victory on micro-blogging site i.e on Twitter.


 His comments on Twitter reads thus- 'TRS juggernaut continues to roll unabated. Thumping majority of over 50K in Narayankhed; Congrats to @trsharish & Medak TRS leadership team'.



Telangana minister KTR, while addressing the media after the results of Narayankhed bypoll thanked the people of Narayankhed for trusting the TRS government.

The minister heaped praise on Irrigation minister Harish Rao for shouldering the election campaign responsibility.

 He made satirical comments on TDP saying that it's full form is 'Telanganalo deposit rani party'

Telangana Irrigation minister Harish Rao, as part of Narayankhed bypoll campaign earlier insisted the people of Narayankhed constituency to vote for TRS and promised that Narayankhed would be developed on the lines of Siddipet constituency.

 Irrigation Minister also said that development is possible only under TRS rule and wanted people to give Narayankhed result as gift to CM KCR, whose birthday falls on February 17th.

 This has come true today as the result of bypoll is out.

It is to be mentioned here that the TRS got 93,076 votes followed by Congress 39,451 and TDP 14,787.
