Telangana govt plans to install CCTV cameras in SSC exam centres


The Telangana government has focussed on the quality of education imparted to the students.

As part of it, the school education department has been assigned task to monitor the quality education of government as well as private schools.

As per the reports, the education department is planning to install cameras in the 1,499 government schools and also issued  circulars to all 1,115 private schools in the state, which have SSC examination centres.

As SSC examinations are scheduled to start from March 21 in Telangana state, instructions from education department have been passed to both private and government schools to procure CCTV cameras and install at the examination centres with connectivity to the School Education department.

It also instructed that each school should spend at least Rs 1 lakh for the set up and procure 10 to 13 CCTV cameras with a central processing unit and monitor.

Sources from Educational department of the government, said that, in Hyderabad district, there are 131 private and 315 government examination centres are there.
