Virat Kohli fined playing against Pakistan for showing dissent

Though Indian Cricket team registered their win against Pakistan in Asia Cup yesterday, disciplinary action has been initiated against Virat Kohli.

It has been reported that Virat Kohli was fined 30 % of his match fees by International Cricket Council (ICC) for opposing the Leg Before Wicket(LBW) decision and thereby ending his innings at 49 runs.

Explosive Indian batsman has reportedly breached Article 2.1.5 of the Code of Conduct for Players for showing dissent at an umpire's decision during India's Asia Cup Twenty20 match against Pakistan being played at Mirpur (Bangladesh) on Saturday evening.

There was a no formal hearing as the India Test skipper accepted the sanction proposed by the Elite Panel of ICC Match Referees named Jeff Crowe, admitting his offence.

Four umpires i.e on-field umpires Ruchira Palliyaguruge and Sharfuddoula, third umpire Enamul Haque and fourth umpire Anisur Rahman, have collectively levelled the charges against Indian batsman Virat Kohli.

It is to be mentioned here that India defeated Pakistan by five wickets as  India became successful restricting Pakistan for 83 runs at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

Virat Kohli was declared the man-of-the-match.
