Security downgraded to SRK & Aamir Khan
Mumbai Police have downgraded the security cover for 25 Bollywood celebrities, including prominent Bollywood actors Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan.
The said move was taken after an annual assessment of threat perception.
It has been reported that the two actors were provided additional security cover for their alleged comments on the subject of intolerance.
The officials while observing the unwanted security cover have trimmed their security after reviewing the assessment on it.
Sources said that two armed constables will enough to take care of the two actors in two shifts.
The armed vehicles have been called back, it is learnt from sources.
Bollywood director and producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra, director Rajkumar Hirani, director Farah Khan and producer siblings Ali and Karim Morani, have no security cover as it has been fully withdrawn.
It is to be mentioned here that security to Aamir Khan was extended after the release of his movie PK.
The actor had allegedly received extortion calls from gangster Abu Salem, in the last year during November month.
The actor made further news when the actor spoke on the issue of intolerance, stating that his wife Kiran Rao has suggested that they should probably leave the country.
The actor himself has given an indication that incidents of intolerance have increased and he is alarmed by it .
His such comments sparked off controversy .
