To surprise of many, Tamil film celebrities demand release of Rajiv assassins
Tamil film celebrities including directors, producers and actors, will visit chief minister Jayalalitha and demand the release of Rajiv Gandhi assassins, who are undergoing life term in Tamil Nadu jail.
A joint press conference was held, in which they have announced that they will be taking out a rally to get support from the public, and submit a petition to the Tamilnadu Chief Minister J.Jayalalithaa.
This comes just before the Assembly elections in the state.
The gesture has surprised many quarters, including political, as to why film personalities should interfere in the matter.
Also they were silent all these years and why they are interested now.
