Ex judge D. Prabhakar Rao passes away in a mysterious manner
Ex judge D. Prabhakar Rao, who was an accused in mining baron Gali Janardhan Reddy's cash-for-bail scam, passed away on Sunday under mysterious circumstances at his East Marredpally residence in Hyderabad.
Marredpallly police have booked case under 174 CrPC and autopsy is being conducted at Gandhi Hospital.
The police suspected that he might have died due to suicide, but could not confirm it .
Gopalapuram ACP Sivakumar said that, there are possibilities of suicide.
His son David interacting with TV9 media over phone said that his father died due to massive heart attack.
He was not under any pressure, his son added.
It is to be mentioned here that Prabhakar Rao was arrested by the ACB for his role in striking a deal for getting bail for Janardhan Reddy.
Prabhakar was a family court judge in Srikakulam district by that time.
Another judge K. Lakshminarasimha Rao, the chief judge of the city small causes court, was also arrested along with Prabhakar Rao.
Both the judges were suspended by the Andhra Pradesh High Court on July 6th 2012 in this connection.
On the other hand former judge, D. Prabhakar Rao, number of times said before the media that he is being framed in the bail scam by CBI.
