Sania Mirza-Martina Hingis win Brisbane International Title
Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis, who are at the moment enjoying top women pair status of the World have registered their first win in the new year 2016.
The top duo has clinched the women's doubles title of the $1 million Brisbane International at the Queensland Tennis Centre in Brisbane on Saturday.
Sania-Martina defeated the German duo of Angelique Kerber and Andrea Petkovic 7-5, 6-1.
The German girls have somehow managed to win the sixth game but it was a little too late as the Indo-Swiss pair dominated them taking the crown with ease in the next few minutes.
The game lasted for an hour and 10 minutes.
The 29-year-old Sania's second victory in Brisbane after partnering American Bethanie Mattek-Sands all the way to the title in 2013 .
The Indo-Swiss Duo had won seven doubles titles and two grand slam titles in 2015 .
The top duo have won so far 26 consecutive matches and this is their sixth consecutive title.
If they continue the winning race like this, then they are sure to beat the record of 28 consecutive wins in doubles set by Gigi Fernandez and Natasha Zvereva in 1994.
