Outlook apologises to Home Minister Rajnath Singh

CPI MP Mohammad Salim of Raniganj took a dig against Home minister Rajnath Singh's controversial comments that found place in 'Outlook Magazine' article and wanted the Home Minister to defend himself in yesterday's Lok Sabha proceedings.

Rajnath Singh said that it is a serious allegation against him and made it clear that he has never said any such thing.

The Speaker ruled that the remarks of CPI MP against the Home Minister will not be a part of proceedings.

On the other hand, the Outlook magazine has admitted to have erroneously attributed to Rajnath Singh, the remarks that carried a storm in the Lok Sabha.

The English magazine said in a statement that it was not their intention to denigrate the Home Minister or Parliament.

 Outlook sincerely regrets the embarassment caused to Home Minister Rajnath Singh and MP Mohammad Salim.
