YS Jagan arrested in Delhi
New Delhi/Hyderabad, August 10: Delhi police arrested YS Jaganmohan Reddy, who was leading a march from Jantar Mantar to Parliament in Delhi today, demanding special status to Andhra Pradesh State.
He was allegedly arrested for interrupting traffic. Protesting against the arrest, Jagan squatted in front of Parliament Street police station.
A minor scuffle took place between the activists and police. Police forcibly took the leader in a vehicle. They also took party senior leader Botcha Satyanarayana and others.
Before the arrest, Jagan said that he was getting arrested so that innocent people should not be troubled and should not suffer in police lathi charge.
Jagan gave a call to AP bandh on August 28.
