Prez lands in Hyderabad
Hyderabad, June 29: President Pranab Mukherjee landed at Hakimpet airport in Hyderabad at about 2.05 pm today. Governor ESL Narasimhan, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrshekar Rao, Ministers, MPs and MLAs gave a grand welcome to the President. He left to his residence in Bollarum.
This is Mukherjee's maiden visit to the State after Telangana State formation. It is customery for the President to visit Hyderabad every year and stay at 'Residency House' in Bollarum here.
During his 10-day sojourn here till July 8, he will visit Tirupati on July 1 and return to Hyderabad by 4 pm.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will invite the President to take part in the inauguration of Haritha Haram and other programmes, scheduled on July 3.
The officials have made strict security arrangements ahead of the President's visit.
CC cameras have been installed on the main traffic centres along the road from Rajiv highway, Bollarum check post circle, Army golf stadium, Defence Ministry lands etc, the road the President's convoy will travel.
