AP constitutes SIT to probe cases against KCR

Hyderabad, June 17: The Andhra Pradesh government today constituted a six-member SIT (Special Investigation Team) to probe the cases registered against Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao in the State.

So far TDP cadres, public and various organisations filed 87 cases against KCR across the State.

Sources said that DIG Iqbal will head the six-member SIT and he would take charge today. The government will issue the orders this evening and the SIT will begin probe from tomorrow.

The constitution of SIT assumed significance in the wake of Telangana ACB’s notices to T TDP leader Vem Narender Reddy and the party MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah and many believe it as a TDP government’s retaliatory move.
